Marketing Executive

Join our Marketing Team and help us release the full potential of flat roofs.

Position: Full-time, permanent

Hours of work: 37.5 hours / week

Place of work: Ipswich - Hybrid options available

Probation period: Six months

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 based on qualifications and experience

The Role

The Marketing Executive will support the Marketing Manager in delivering Axter’s marketing strategy, with a strong focus on content creation and digital communications. This role is central to producing engaging, brand-aligned content across web, social media, print and video channels.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening Axter’s digital presence, supporting content production and communicating Axter’s sustainability, community, and partnership initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes

Content Development

• Plan, write and edit content for the website, social media, newsletters and marketing collateral.
• Develop case studies, project stories and press releases that showcase Axter’s expertise and values within the industry, and locally.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Manager and technical teams to translate complex product or project information into clear, engaging narratives.
• Ensure all content aligns with Axter’s tone of voice, brand guidelines, and strategic goals.


Social Media & Digital Marketing

• Manage day-to-day social media activity across LinkedIn, ensuring consistent engagement and growth.
• Monitor analytics and performance, reporting key metrics and insights to inform content strategy.
• Contribute to SEO and digital advertising campaigns by supporting content optimisation and creative execution.


Content Production & Creative Support

• Support the production of high-quality video and photography content for digital and promotional use.
• Assist in the design and layout of sales literature, presentations, and event materials (experience in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools desirable).
• Maintain an organised library of marketing assets and support coordination of creative projects with external agencies.
• Support with content creation for Axter’s internal intranet channel, communicating company updates and initiatives.


Sustainability, Community & Brand Representation

• Support Axter’s climate and community initiatives, helping to communicate progress, partnerships, and impact.
• Develop stories and content that highlight sustainability efforts, community engagement, and social responsibility.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Qualifications, Skills Experience and Behaviours:

  • • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role (in the flat roof or construction industry preferrable)
    • Strong copywriting, editing, and storytelling ability across multiple platforms.
    • Demonstrated experience managing social media channels and creating content calendars.
    • Familiarity with digital tools such as WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, ActiveCampaign or similar.
    • Experience with video editing or photography advantageous but not essential.
    • Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
    • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Genuine interest in sustainability and Axter’s wider social responsibility programme
