With climate change increasing the risk of flooding within our communities, rainwater management within urban areas is becoming more critical.
At Axter, we're helping to deliver Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) with Blue Roof systems – innovative solutions that manage stormwater at roof level, reduce flood risks, and contribute to more sustainable buildings.
We’d like to invite you to our Blue Roof CPD, hosted by Andrew Keer – Product Manager, Blue Roof Systems, where we’ll explore how these systems can make a real difference to your projects.
What You’ll Learn:
- What are Blue Roofs?: Understand how these systems utilise the roof or podium construction for the control and temporary attenuation of storm-water during periods of heavy rainfall, reducing pressure on drainage systems.
- Drivers for Change: Why blue roofs are a must in today’s rapidly changing climate and urban environments.
- Blue Roof Principles & Loadings: Learn how to assess a Blue Roof or Podium.
- Blue Roof Build-Ups: Discover the components of this system, from waterproof membranes to drainage systems.
